Educational trail for kids, located on an adjoining forested area next to the Family Amusement Park Lochmuehle

Details

Roman course for kids: The circular track has been specially developed for kids and contains six stations featuring active-minded information. Children are playfully being animated to explore Roman life. On the upper parking area of the amusement park visitors cross the Limes Wall.

Alongside this boundary wall used to be guarding posts and forts. Ancient remains of a fort can be discovered on the site. Six poster boards inform the small fort, the Limes and Roman life of the era. The illustrated Roman family Marcus Iulius Rufus accompanies the kids from station to station. Altogether, there are 22 elements installed. Apart from the illustrated boards, every station provides didactic toys animating kids to enhance their new knowledge though practical experience.

The educational trail is 185 meters long. The stations are:
